Romsey Future’s brand new vision document has now been endorsed by a number of organisations following its launch earlier this year.
Titled A Vision for Romsey, the new vision document sets out Romsey Future’s priorities for the partnership for next five years, as well as the longer-term vision for the next two decades.
When launched in March, stakeholders were invited to endorse the document and the vision it sets out for the town. Since then, a number of key local organisations including Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service, Aster, Unity, the NHS’s local Clinical Commissioning Group, Places Leisure, and the Romsey and District Society have responded to the call and signed up to it.
Chair of Romsey Future, councillor Nick Adams-King, said: “As a community partnership, Romsey Future is an organisation that looks to bring local people together to achieve positive things for our town.
“I am delighted to see that so many organisations, from across the town, have already endorsed the vision we have for Romsey over the next twenty years. We would love to hear from any other organisation locally that wants to be a part of realising this vision.
“With the first meeting coming up soon of Romsey Future’s Programme Board, the group that will oversee the partnership’s work, I am excited to see what the future holds.”
Roger Leech, Chairman of the Romsey and District Society, said “Having been involved in the work of Romsey Future since its inception in 2013, we are most pleased to endorse the partnership’s new vision document. We are very much looking forward to contributing to the future work of the partnership.”
