Romsey residents invited to help shape the future of community involvement

Romsey Future is holding a focus group open to any resident of Romsey or people that work within the town. If you are interested in taking part, please complete the questionnaire below.

The focus group is being organised as part of Romsey Future's work with New Local and the Cabinet Office. It will help explore how communities want to be involved in local decision-making and how organisations can better listen to and work with residents.

Around 25 to 30 people will be selected to take part in the discussion, which will take place in Romsey on 10 October 2026 from 10am to 12.30pm. Participants will receive a voucher as a thank you for their time, and parking permits will be provided.

To help make sure the group reflects the broad range of people who live and work in and around Romsey, some residents may receive a letter inviting them to complete a short questionnaire. The information provided will be used to help select a diverse group of participants.

 

Filling in a questionnaire does not automatically guarantee a place in the focus group.

No previous knowledge of Romsey Future is needed. Participants will be given information about the partnership and its work before sharing their views and experiences.

The findings from the focus group will be presented to the Romsey Future Partnership and Test Valley Borough Council. They will help shape how the partnership engages with local communities in the future.​
