What is UKSPF?
In collaboration with Test Valley Borough Council, Romsey Future was allocated £100k of UK Shared Prosperity Fund, funded by the UK Government.
The fund required projects to be in any of the below potential areas for capital investment in Romsey.
We consulted with local organisations and groups and were able to grant seven awards to different projects.
Wilder Romsey
Wilder Romsey were awarded funds to help provide kit and equipment to better allow volunteers to repair and maintain the canal.

Romsey Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (RAODS)
RAODS were awarded funds to refurbish the Green Room - to create another smaller show space, and enable increased numbers of visitors to events and shows

Romsey Town Council (RTC)
RTC were awarded funds to reinstate power to the bollards on Church Place to enable community events and markets to have access to power.

Romsey Baptist Church
Romsey Baptist Church were awarded funds to improve the area in front of the Church, providing a sensory area and social space for the whole community.

King John's House
KJH were awarded funds to assist with buying resources for community education.

Romsey Abbey Wildflower Meadow
Funds were awarded for the provision of additional benches, inclusive access and interpretation boards for the wildflower meadow at Romsey Abbey.

Romsey Riverwalk CIC
Romsey Riverwalk were awarded funds to carry out improvement to areas of the Causeway, to allow safer and more inclusive access.
